Each country in the world has its own story; however, there are people in history that have made a world-wide impact on how we live our life today. Let us look at some famous people in history; like Buddha, Anne Frank, and Helen Keller, what they did and how they affected our lives today.

Lord Buddha

Siddhartha, a very wealthy prince in what is now known as Nepal. Disguised, he left his sheltered, luxurious life in the palace. He saw the cruelties of life lurking around the market of his own kingdom; this provoked Siddhartha to learn tolerance, compassion, and love. He went through India teaching others how to achieve the peace of nirvana.

Anne Frank

World War II, known as the Holocaust, was a devastating time in history, a time when people who did not meet certain criteria were brutally murdered by the Nazi’s under the direction of Adolf Hitler. During this time, a young teenage girl kept a very detailed journal of the events that occurred. Anne Frank told the story of hiding from the Nazi soldiers, her capture, and the horrors of living in a concentration camp. The publishing of her diary changed the world.

Helen Keller

The story of Helen Keller is known throughout the world. A woman who was deaf and blind after a serious childhood illness who became a political activist and a wonderful author. Her hard work and dedication touched the world and helped the world start to understand deaf and blind people. She also became a public speaker and an activist for the study of the deaf and blind.

Throughout history, people have done amazing things changing the views of the world. These are just three of the amazing people who have helped changed the views of the world. The history of the world is extensive, beautiful, and holds fascinating mystery. We learn about the people who have held a significant standing because it is important to know where we came from. Knowing why we live the life we live today makes life that much sweeter.
